Wolfgang Teubner has been working for the ICLEI European Secretariat since October 1992, serving ICLEI in several functions. Aside from being responsible for the development and implementation of a large number of international projects related to sustainable urban development as project coordinator, he also directed the financial and administrational management of the European Secretariat.

In 2002 he took on the full responsibility for the financial and administrational management of the ICLEI European Secretariat in the function of Executive Director.

Mr Teubner studied in Freiburg and Newcastle-upon-Tyne and holds a state degree in Political Science and English from Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg. He also completed professional training to become a common market specialist before joining ICLEI. He speaks German, English and Spanish.
