PASTA Project final conference at the International Cycling Conference 2017
Organised by the German Environment Agency (UBA), the International Cycling Conference(ICC) will host on the 20 September 2017 the PASTA Project Final Conference. The EU-funded project PASTA - Physical Activity Through Sustainable Transport Approaches - aims to show how promoting active mobility (i.e. walking and cycling) can lead to a healthier, more physically active population - saving money and more importantly improving our lives. During the PASTA Final Conference project partners will present key results, such as the outcomes of the two-year PASTA survey looking at the travel patterns of more than 14,000 people in seven cities across Europe, namely Antwerp, Barcelona, London, Örebro, Rome, Vienna and Zürich.
The PASTA final conference will open with a keynote speech from Deputy Mayor of Paris for Transport, Christophe Najdovskialso and also cover the following topics:
• Promoting safe walking and cycling to improve public health
• The “new Health Economic Assessment Tool -HEAT”
• Voices from the PASTA cities: the experience of policy makers
