First EcoMobility Festival begins in Suwon

The 2013 EcoMobility Festival and Congress began on 1 September in Suwon, (South Korea). During the month the historic area of Haenggung-dong will be made car-free so that the 4,300 residents can explore the possibilities of an eco-mobile lifestyle. The Festival will welcome more than 5,000 international visitors, mayors, leading research specialists, mobility solution providers and more than 200 other participants from 20 different countries.

The EcoMobility Festival serves as the perfect platform for exchanging urban transport solutions and experiencing an ecomobile lifestyle in reality. It will allow visitors and participants from a variety of different backgrounds to witness the benefits that swapping the neighbourhood’s some 1,500 cars for ecomobile vehicles will have.
