TripleA-reno

Attractive, Acceptable and Affordable deep Renovation by a consumers orientated and performance evidence based approach.

TripleA-reno is an EU-funded project bringing together 15 project partners from seven European countries. Its aim is to make acceptation and decision-making on deep renovation attractive for consumers and end-users by clear and meaningful information and communication on proven impact on energy, indoor environmental quality and personal health in practice. This will be achieved through the development of an innovative Open Gamified Platform that will act as a one-stop-shop and build the local renovation community.

Following 7 real-life case-studies from cities across Europe, the project will put citizens in the driver´s seat. After observing their needs, the platform will provide users with simple and proven decision-making tools, giving then easy access to the latest renovation technologies and products, including information on renovation procedures and the local renovation value chain. House-owners will also get an overview of real performance concerning energy, health and indoor environmental quality, as well as user-satisfaction of buildings that were renovated. Designers, workers and suppliers will be able to use the training modules of the platform to improve their skills, while investors will get an insight into the renovation market, with details on projects seeking funding.

The project is coordinated by Huygen. ICLEI will mainly contribute to the TripleA-reno exploitation strategy, which is geared towards EU-wide replication, as it should also benefit EU member states not involved in the project and other areas. It will organise an international training workshop for municipalities, during which participants will have the opportunity to test the gamified platform and provide feedback. Based on the project results, ICLEI will develop policy recommendations at a local, sub-national and European level.
