INGA webinar to explore the use of interdisciplinarity for sustainable transitions

Addressing complex global problems in local ways can be challenging, particularly when operating in an uncertain political environment. 'Interdisciplinarity', or the process of combining academic disciplines together in new ways, is fast becoming recognised as a vital element to address complex problems and provide sophisticated responses. But reaching the effective level of interdisciplinary cooperation requires thoughtful facilitation, openness and reflection between those who work in the public and private sectors.

To overcome these barriers, the International Network of Green Agents (INGA) will host a webinar on 10 November 2017, 12.00-13.30 CET, which will focus on catalysing collaboration and using interdisciplinarity for sustainable transitions.

The webinar will feature stories from professionals, who will share their experiences of dealing with collaboration and interdisciplinarity within the field of sustainable development and sustainable cities.

Invited speakers will include: Michael Damm, Head of Sustainability and Devlopment, Department of Environment and Energy Planning, Aalborg Kommune (Denmark); Dr. Stephanie Lavau, Lecturer in Interdisciplinary Environmental Practice at the University of Melbourne (Australia); and Marian Barquin, Head of Ihobe Climate Change Department, Basque Country. Early registration is advised, as places are limited.
